We can help keep your fields clean with the ZÜRN TOP CUT COLLECT.

It uses award-winning German engineering to mechanically harvest herbicide-resistant weeds before harvest. The 12m helical reel works to gently present weed seeds to the double-cut knife, that cuts just above the crop line. The conveyor belts transport the seed-heads up into the hopper and the high-dump system allows complete removal from the field.

Contracting Service

Our Zurn Top Cut Collect service is available in Norfolk and Suffolk and further afield across the East of England. We offer both hourly and daily rates.

The system has a 12m working width and can cover up to about 100 acres a day. We run narrow wheels to minimise the impact on the crop.

The process limits reliance on chemical herbicides, and is particularly useful in organic systems.

David started back in 1965 as a farm contractor. He moved quickly and bought Brick Kiln Farm, Westhall in 1970 and some years later Grange Farm, Barsham.

Now in partnership with his grandson Archie, they farm 750 acres. This includes 5 share-farming agreements with local landowners. Most have been loyal customers for many decades.
